Tunturipuro – the Mountain Brook

The kitchen/living area of this Superior room has a sofa that can be used as an extra bed for one. The variation of light and dark, translucent and opaque of the interior design materials is reminiscent of the play of light and shadow in running water. The bathroom, located next to a raised sleeping area, has a spa-like atmosphere: the floor pebbles massage the soles of your feet while you unwind in the rain shower.
In Rovaniemi, you are always close to flowing water. The city is split by the longest river in Finland, Kemijoki, that is fed from well over one hundred smaller named rivers and streams, and a countless number of unnamed little brooks. The river gets its power from these little brooks. They are its lifeblood.
Clear, natural streams and brooks also provide favourable living conditions for many animals. A trout can find a place for spawning under the shelter of the branches of a tree fallen in the water. A highly rare freshwater pearl mussel might still be hiding at the bottom. You can admire brooks along the trails of the Arctic Circle Hiking Area, for example.
